Grand Valley Diversion Roller Dam, Colorado River
This dam was built over 100 years ago, and still stands today. It’s a remarkable site as you’re driving on the I-70 outside Palisade, Colorado in the De Beque canyon area. The diversion section of the dam routes water into the Grand Valley, as the rest continues on down the Colorado.
It’s such a cool dam, I pulled out my large 4×5 view camera out, and snapped this shot.
